morgan wendelborn 

Morgan’s 19 years as a professional in the interiors, fashion and lifestyle industry bring a unique perspective to the Wheelhouse team. From her hands on experience in various areas of the luxury market, she brings a keen eye, refined sensibility and a honed attention to detail. The approach required for modern space development requires a dynamic skillset, with a discerning balance of concept ideals and practical application.

Since launching and Creative Directing the Soho concept store, The Apartment by The Line (and its e-commerce/lifestyle content site, theline.com) in 2013, Morgan has focused on the intersection of interiors, experience and lifestyle in commercial and residential spaces in NYC and Brooklyn. Morgan also works as a creative strategist with both young and established companies focusing on brand identity, space planning and interior design.

Morgan got her start in 2003 as an early and key member of the online fashion retailer, Shopbop.com (acquired by Amazon in 2006). She played a key creative and management role until 2011, when she set out to pursue new lifestyle concepts and interiors.

Morgan holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin Madison where she studied Creative Writing and American Literature. She has been featured in publications such as Vogue, The New York Times, RUM ID, Cereal Magazine, Elle, Spur Japan, The Sartorialist, The Coveteur, Garance Dore, and Harpers Baazar.

She loves using AutoCAD, InDesign, speed squares and table saws.

Morgan lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

 

SAM CARMODY 

Sam has over 23 years of experience in the NYC real estate industry. In 2014, he formed a real estate development group that recently completed a new construction ground up 4 story luxury single-family townhome in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and are in the final pre-construction phase for another new construction ground up 6-story, 5-unit luxury condominium. 

Prior, Sam spent 6 years as an Owner’s Representative for high net worth clientele, (both residential/commercial) overseeing the construction/asset management for several new residential/retail projects throughout the country (NYC, Eastern Long Island, Aspen, Cabo San Lucas, Santa Monica and LA). 

Before entering the owner’s rep world, Sam was Vice President of Brown Harris Stevens, where he helped facilitate the property management for a portfolio of 200+ luxury residential buildings. 

Previously, Sam was the Sponsor Representative of Fifteen Central Park West, a ground up 200+ unit luxury residential tower, on behalf of Zeckendorf Development. In this role, Sam oversaw the construction manager for completion of the interior building punch list. 

Sam earned his start as a Senior Property Manager with the prestigious Rose Associates, Inc. With Rose (in which he was one of the youngest Property Managers hired in firm history) Sam successfully helped manage the property and asset management for several of NYC’s most esteemed and newly developed residential towers. 

He holds a BSBA in Finance from the University of Nebraska. 

Sam lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
